CGIA delegation attended the Anti-Corrosion Conference
To promote graphene application in the area of anti-corrosion coatings and its technology development, CGIA led a delegation to the “China Anti-Corrosion Technology for Pipes and Devices Conference” on November 26-28, 2014. Manager Mingjuan Sun from Jining Leadernano, the member of CGIA, gave a lecture at the conference.
Dr. Sun firstly presented the application properties and potential market of graphene. Then, she continued introducing the history of Leadernano, and its various products, including graphene composite materials, which can be used as functional coatings. At last, Sun emphasized the competitive advantages of graphene in anti-corrosion coatings. Comparing with the traditional coatings, graphene-modified coatings have remarkable features, e.g., lower porosity, better ability to prevent diffusion of small molecules, longer time and pathway of corrosion reaction, better film quality. She also provided some data and results to show the excellent toughness, impact resistance, and anti-corrosion properties, which indicate a high potential value in the application of marine coatings.
Dr. Sun’s lecture attracted warm attention. Several participants had a deep discussion with her after the conference, including the delegate from Anhui University of Technology. He said this lecture offered him new ideas on the development of anti-corrosion coatings and he hoped to cooperate with Leadernano in the future.
